Ever wonder how Mario would translate to real life? Probably you and everyone else out there. For some reason, the Mario brothers franchise has been ripe for film noir parody. Perhaps this is due to the bright, happy world with the drug undertones. Either way, there is no shortage of Mario Noir style fan films.
To start us off today, here is Mario: Game Over by the YouTube channel, P0YKPAC. It was uploaded back in 2007, and has received quite a bit of success. The fan film generated more than 46 million views and won Best Comedy Video of 2007 in the YouTube awards.
The next video is Film Noir Mario Brothers: The Plumber and the Princess. It was uploaded back in 2008 and so far has only received 3,500 views. It follows a traditional detective style noir doine quite well. It's well worth the five minute run time.
Finally, this may not be a film, but it's still a brilliantly well done comic. It's called Another Castle and it was done by MCGriffin on DeviantArt. The comic is only seven pages long, but it looks great. It was uploaded in August of 2010 and has since gone viral. Unfortunately, many forgot to attribute the artist and that's a real shame. If you want to read the whole thing, you can read it here. And here's the link to chapter two: Another Castle: Brawl.
I cut the mounting plate off of the horizontal tank and placed it on the vertical tank. I had completed plumbing everything and was ready to test.
