Trailer Tuesday: Wub Wub Rising

While last week's Trailer Tuesday may have featured a failure, this week's shows what happens when a trailer gets everything right. Borderlands 2 is coming, and we should be prepared.

It's rare to see a trailer encapsulate everything that is fun about a game. Either it'll focus too much on the cinematics, or look like an incredibly boring Powerpoint presentation. There has to be some delicate balance that shows off what the game offers while capturing the style and feel for the game.

Gearbox's Borderlands 2 Launch Date Trailer shows us everything in this incredible video. It has the humor of Borderlands, and lets us know: Yeah, it's bigger. We even get to see the return of series favorite, Claptrap in his dubstep dance party. Yeah, you heard me. Gearbox wasn't too afraid to laugh at itself with Borderlands, and we should take note it hasn't made the mistake of pretending the world is suddenly serious, either. The combat's just bigger, the guns more plentiful, and the "wub wub" saw a 96.5% increase. Yeah, that's right: almost double. And the guns? An additional 870 gajillion. Gajillion, people!

 

Borderlands 2 is coming out September 18 for the PC, PS3, and the Xbox 360. Until then... Ntss Ntss WUBWUBWUB
